WHEN A PIG FLYES

Dano and Dana were the most ugliest pigs in the farm. Dano was blue with pink tail and Dana was pink with 2 big blue spots; one on her head and the other one on her butt, and she was so.... so... so... SO... FAT.

When Dano and Dana were born, their mother Ink was so happy because one day she heard Mr Joe (the farmer) talking with his wife Ms Jenn. He told her, Ink wasn´t able to be a mother. When Ink heard that she started to cry.

One day Ink started to feel nausea and she was so tired, the farmer noticed it and called the veterinarian. Dr Charles went to the farm an examinated Ink, when he finished, he called the farmer and his wife and he explained everything to them. Ink was trying to hear but she coudn´t, after 5 minutes Mr Joe and Ms Jenn came back and hug Ink, they were so happy because Ink was pregnant.

Dano and Dana were healthy but really strange, just Ink loved them. When they were 3 years old mr Joe decided to sell them to a clown. Ink was devastated, they had been toguether for a long long time and they were a real family.

Dano and Dana were bought by mr Joke the clown of the Sad Circus, he told mr Joe he would take care of the siblings because he loved pigs. But when they arrived at the circus he shut them on a cage.

Mr Joke forced them to do stupid acts like jumping over a pie, and blow up a ballon with the nose to make it explode. Dano and Dana were so sad, they hated the circus and mr Joe because he usually forgot to feed them.

They had been workin at the circus for 10 months when they heard mr Joke coming, he was so drunk, he came to the cage and told to the siblings he would free them when they could fly. When Dana heard that she started to cry but Dano was so happy, this is the opportunity they had been waiting for, since they were bought by mr Joke. Dana didn´t understand why Dano was so happy.

At night Dano started to pray and Dana got more and more conffused, and decided to ask him what whas he doing, he explains her he was prating because he wants them to have wings. in that momentshe understood everything and they started to pray together.

They woke up with a lot of pain in their backs, they open their eyes and were so confusedbut at the same time so happy. Dano says he coudn´t believe it and Dana says she was so happy. They received what they wanted to. In their backs they had wings and the most incredible thing was that they could hide them and bring them out when they wanted.

In the evening when Mr Joke went to feed them he opened the cage. Dana and Dano put a stone under the door and scaped flying. They ewnt to the old farm, took their mom out and scaped to have again a beautiful family.

THE CHOCOLATE

The cacao tree is grown in equatorial regions, especially in places such a South America, Africa and Indonesia. The tree produces a fruit as big as a small pineapple. The cocoa beens are found inside it.

The beens are fermented for about a week, dried in the sun and then shipped to the chocolate maker.

Chocolate makes starts bye roasting the beens to bring out the flavor. The roasted beens are winnowed (Winnowing removes the meat (also known as the nib) of the cocoa beens from its shell) to have nibs.

Once roasted, winnowed and blended, the nibs are grounded and produces a viscous liquid known as "chocolate liquor". Chocolate liquor is pure, unsweetened chocolate, and if you eat it, it will be pretty nasty because it is bitter.

You can do 2 things with the liquor:

The liquor can be put into a mold and let it get cool and solidify, this is the unsweetened chocolate. Or you can press it in a hydraulic press to squeeze out the fat, and when you do this what your are left with is a dry cake of the ground cocoa been solids and "cocoa butter". If you grind up the cake, you´ll have "cocoa powder".

So far, we´ve taken de seeds of a tree, roasted them and ground them up, now the process of making the chocolate we eat can be being.

There are 3 basic things to make a chocolate bar.

1 Adding ingredients
The chocolate we eat contains: sugar, other flavors(vainilla etc.), and often milk. The chocolate maker adds these ingredients according to them own recipe.

2 Conching
The chocolate is massaged by a special machine in order to blend the ingredients together and smooth it out.

3 Tempering
It is a carefully controlled healting process. Tempering is "a process where the chocolate is slowly heated, then slowly cooled, allowing the cocoa butter molecules to solidify in an orderly fashion" whitout this process the chocolate doesn´t harderen properly.

And after all this process we have the most delicious thing in hole world THE CHOCOLATE.

TERRY FOX DRAFT

Terry Fox was a happy, healthy and normal kid, he used to play to many sports. But everything change when the doctors found osteosarcoma in his knee.

At first he was really depressed, he started his treatment an as a consecuence he started to felt really seak, he change a lot. The happy kid he was used to be die... he was now a sad boy.

After two yearss the doctors had again bad news, now they had to amputate his rigyh leg above the knee. Terry was devastate he just want to die... but one day he realize he had to fight.

He started teh Marathon of hope a run over Canada in order to raise money to cancer research.

TERRY FOX http://elyanyta.podomatic.com/

Biography

Terrance Stanley "Terry" Fox, CC (July 28, 1958 – June 28, 1981)was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Rolly and Betty Fox. He was raised in the family home on Morrill Street, with his brother Fred, his younger brother Darell, and his sister Judith. He was a Canadian humanitarian, athlete, and cancer treatment activist. He became famous for the Marathon of Hope, a cross-Canada run to raise money for cancer research, which Fox ran with one prosthetic leg. He is considered one of Canada's greatest heroes of the 20th century and is celebrated internationally every September as people participate in the Terry Fox Run, the world's largest one-day fundraiser for cancer research.

Sports

As a child, Fox was always an active sports fan, with diving being his favourite sport. Four things were evident about him; first, he loved sports of all kinds - soccer, rugby, baseball, and basketball. Second, he was not tall, so he had to work harder than the bigger kids. Third, he was extremely competitive. Lastly, he had a huge amount of determination.

In his teenage years, he won numerous medals in diving and swimming competitions, and impressed many people with his stamina and endurance. Though many of his instructors encouraged him to stay with water sports and train professionally, Fox instead pursued the dream of becoming a physical education teacher.

Osteosarcoma

In 1977, after feeling pain in his right knee, he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. This iss a form of cancer that strikes men more than women, usually around ages ten to twenty-five. Very often the cancer starts at the knee, then works its way up into the muscles and tendons. At the time, the only way to treat his condition was to amputate his right leg several inches above the knee. The car accident may have triggered his sarcoma.[citation needed]

Three years after losing his leg at age 18, the young athlete decided to run from coast to coast in order to raise money for cancer research. In creating the Marathon of Hope, his goal was to raise $1 from each Canadian citizen.

Marathon of Hope

Fox began by dipping his leg in the Atlantic Ocean at St. John's, Newfoundland on April 12, 1980. He intended to dip it in the Pacific Ocean when he arrived in Victoria, British Columbia. He also filled two large bottles with Atlantic Ocean water; his plan was to keep one as a souvenir and pour the other one into the Pacific. His plan was to run about 42 km (26.2 miles) a day, the distance of a typical marathon. No one had ever done anything similar to the task Fox was undertaking.

Fox was unable to finish his run. X-rays revealed that Terry's right lung had a lump the size of a golf ball, and his left lung had another lump the size of a lemon. The lumps were not lung cancer; rather, they were bone cancer that went into his lungs through his bloodstream. He was forced to stop the run on September 1, 1980 just north-east of Thunder Bay, Ontario, after 143 days. He had run 5,373 km (3,339 miles, or around 23.3 miles per day) through Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec, and Ontario.

Soon after Fox was forced to stop, the CTV television network organized a telethon in hopes of raising additional funds for the cause. Any celebrities within range of Toronto were invited to participate, and the event raised millions of dollars. Many of the guests paid tribute to Fox; TV actor Lee Majors called him "the real Six Million Dollar Man."

Death

In June of 1981, Terry developed pneumonia, and on June 27 he went into a coma. He later died on the 28th at 4:35 a.m which was his favorite hour of running, a year after his legendary run, exactly one month shy of his twenty-third birthday.

Terry's funeral was large and was broadcast live on national television. He is buried in the Port Coquitlam cemetery, near his favorite lookout just outside the cemetery gates.

CITY OF KITAKYUSHU

"International Technology City" nestled between the water's edge and green mountains

A city of 1´000.000 people full of life

Kitakyushu is an "International Technology City" blessed with the sea and greenery that grew up at the contact point of Kyushu Island, the southern end of the Japanese archipelago, and Honshu Island. It, in addition to being an important relay point for the trade of the two islands from ancient times, was also an important place that commands an important international strait (Kanmon Strait) through which sea routes from the continent of China and the Korean peninsula pass. After entering the twentieth century it developed as an important industrial region in Japan and came to embrace a population of one million people.

Enviroment - Industry Technology - Asia

1.Environmental City that has Conquered Pollution

Due to the development of the heavy and chemical industries, environmental pollution (water pollution, air pollution, etc.) came to have a serious impact on the health of the residents and the natural environment.
The continuous efforts of the city residents, businesses and the city have brought forth various environmental technologies and conquered pollution and, in addition, the City of Kitakyushu has become known in the world as an "Environmental City".

2.Japan's core industry, technology and science city

With steel manufacturing, chemicals, fine ceramics and the like primary industries that developed from the beginning of the 20th century and the strength of the technological capability that supported them as the base, in recent years the automobile industry such as Toyota and Nissan, IC (integrated circuits), industrial use robots, TOTO, known for the Washlet and the like advanced sanitary technology, and the like have developed in Kitakyushu and have come to be firmly established as the important industries of the city. In the city the linkage of universities, research institutions and industry is being strongly promoted such as by opening a "Kitakyushu Science and Research Park" aiming at the creation of still more technology and the production of researchers and engineers.

3.An International City that Contributes to Asia

Kitakyushu is aiming to be an international city through technology, economy and culture following the links to traditional Asia. Accordingly, various activities are being carried out as an international city such as dispatching to various Asian countries of engineers related to environmental problems and receiving international researchers, constructing a new container terminal the New Hibiki Port aiming to develop a distribution hub on the Pan-Yellow Sea, receiving foreign students at the Kitakyushu Science and Research Park, and continuing to hold Kitakyushu Conference on Asian Women .

PREDICTIONS ABOUT THE FUTURE

Every day a lot of people read over the news the HOROSCOPE, and they react according to what it says. If horoscope said something like "be careful with people around you today...." people who really belives in it will be cautios all day, maybe sad or depressed.

But if horoscope said someting like "today is your lucky day, all the things you always want will be come true..."people who really belives in it will be happy and they will have a really good day just because they do all with good mood.

I think horoscopes are too general and the apply to every one, and people who belives in it need to be careful.

We need to belive just in our self, if we want to have a good day all we have to do is just really WANT IT.
